Updating Frequently raises Lensrank?

Yes, it seems to be true. No one knows the exact formula for the Lens Ranking (well, maybe Seth of course), but it seems to be that if you update a lens on a daily basis (or every few days), the lens rank goes up! So even if you only have a tiny little update on the lens, be sure to publish it every few days and the lens rank will stay in about the same range.

New Zazzle Module!

Squidoo has finally added what all us Zazzlers have been begging for! A Zazzle Module! I'm not sure if they made an official announcement about it yet (checking as I type), but it's here!

This module is really great now, because before, I used to have to deal with all the HTML and stuff to promote my Zazzle shop. Now it's SO much easier for all of us. In fact, you can even choose within specific categories of items and within the tags of your own shops. You can pick 3, 6, or 9 items to feature in the module as well.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! (And now I've proceeded to sound like a cheesy car-salesman)

There is also a Zazzle Front HQ, so that you can make Zazzle lenses as easy as pie! No really, it takes about three minutes to make one. Basically, it generates a quick lens that you can customize to the max. It's the most amazing the on Squidoo ever.

So, go off now, and make your Zazzle lenses!

Looking for great topics to make lenses about?

Squidoo has a new thing called Squidoodlr, where it gives you potential lens topics at random. It's really helpful if you're looking for an idea to make a lens about. Even if you don't take the topic idea it gives you, some of the ideas inspire other ideas, so it's all good.

Pay for September 2008

So, Squidoo sent out the pay for the month of September. I did much better in October of course, but I won't be getting that until December (just in time for the holidays!). I got $2.78, but that was a lot better than what I got last month! Last month, I recieved the lowly amount of $0.26, and some of that went to charity, haha. In October, I made at least $10 with my biggest lens, Twilight Gear.

My tip for the day? If you can, add a profit-earning module to your lens. Squidoo has many to choose from: Amazon, CafePress, Etsy, and eBay! If it can work in your lens, put it in! Just make sure it doesn't look like you're spamming up the webpage and telling your readers to BUY BUY BUY!
